Stargazing For Beginners was originally commissioned by ABC RN's Creative Audio Unit as a five part radio series for Soundproof. Part story telling, part science, part DIY.
Then Stargazing For Beginners was adapted into an eight part animated series for ABC TV and ABC ME. Animation by Isobel Knowles.
And finally a live event was created for the Melbourne Planetarium at Scienceworks. For this 'Listening to the Universe' event, Isobel Knowles and Chris Northey created animations specifically for the planetarium dome. I produced 8 channel immersive sound and we were joined by head astronomer Dr Tanya Hill and Boonwurrung Elder – Arweet Carolyn Briggs
